Battle Mode = Your Chill Loot Farm 😎
Click Battle and nothing will touch your trophies. You can attack endlessly to:

Gather resources

Test new attack strategies

Take revenge on that guy who stole your gold last night
Your Magic Shield still protects your loot. Revenge attacks work even if you’re shielded — so you can get your payback without risking your base.
Basically,
Battle Mode is perfect for casual grinding, finishing daily tasks, and testing weird attack combos without crying over lost cups.

Ranked Battles = Clash but Competitive 💪
Ranked Mode is more structured:

Sign up for a mini-tournament (every 30 minutes).

Choose a base for defense — any of your home or Clan War bases.

Set your clan castle troops (don’t worry, the game does this automatically).
Once the tournament starts, you:

Get a limited number of attacks each week

Can be attacked by others in your group

Only earn trophies based on attacks and defense, no losing.
Top players get promoted, the lowest performers get demoted, and the rest stay put. Your loot stays yours — only your trophies are at stake.

Trophy Leagues Got a Makeover (and Some Wild Names)
The trophy system now has leagues like:

Skeleton 1–3 → super-low leagues, casual stuff

Barbarian / Archer / Wizard / Valkyrie / Witch / Golem / Pekka / Titan → mid-leagues

Dragon / Electro Dragon / Electro Titan → Legends-tier leagues

Each Town Hall has a league floor, meaning you can’t drop below a certain tier. Finally, no more endless trophy farming down to zero — relief!
The “Magic Shield” and Revenge Drama 🛡️
Magic Shields still protect your resources in Battle Mode. But in Ranked Battles:

No shields — this is all about skill.

Revenge attacks exist only in Battle Mode.
TL;DR: shields protect loot, not ego (trophies). Ranked is where you show off or get rekt.
Why Everyone’s Talking About Star Bonuses Again ⭐
Daily star bonuses now scale with your league. The higher you climb, the bigger your rewards.

Battle Mode and revenge battles contribute too

Star bonuses = golden elixir, dark elixir, shiny ore, and glowy ore
Ranked battles aren’t just for bragging rights; they literally boost your loot.
Modifiers = Clash on Hard Mode 🎯
In higher leagues (Electro Dragon and above), modifiers change the game:

Your attacking heroes are slightly nerfed
You can also test these modifiers in friendly challenges, so even casual practice can get spicy.

Inactive players drop one rank per week until they hit their Town Hall’s league floor.

Supercell added new achievements tied to league milestones:
