▶️ Best TH17 RR Attack Strategies + Army Link 🔗
Alright, Town Hall 17 gang — we’ve been messing around with Root Riders, and wow… this army is just unfair when you get it right. We’re talking ground spam so chunky it chews through bases like a Valk in a candy shop.
We’ve tried a bunch of builds, and these four are the ones that actually work — not just in Legends, but in CWL, wars, and even those “hard mode” challenges that make you question your life choices.
Ready? Let’s ride.
1. Fireball Root Riders — When You See Free Value, Take It
Here’s the thing: if you see a spot near heroes or the Giga Bomb that screams “hit me,” you… hit it. Fireball first, then send the army.

How we do it:
-
Drop the Fireball to wipe the baited section (RC, heroes, whatever’s chilling there).
-
Let the Warden and Giant Arrow clear some side junk.
-
Siege Barracks + Electro Titan King on one side, funnel the other.
-
Spam in Root Riders, drop Healing + Ice Block together (basically Eternal Tome cosplay).
-
Wall Breaker if you think stuff might wander.
Even if troops split or skip the Town Hall, the sheer muscle here still triples. And yes, cleanup is a must — don’t just assume “spam = win.”
2. Log Launcher Root Riders — Core Town Hall Crushers
If the TH is in the core, this one’s a beauty.
Quick story: once, my Queen just YOLO’d into a random compartment like she had a death wish. Still tripled. That’s the power here.

How we do it:
-
Pick the side without a multi-inferno.
-
Giant Arrow + Log Launcher as the opener.
-
Keep King + Witches on the outside lane.
-
Be patient with Overgrowth — wait until poison towers drop.
-
Warden + Rage through the high damage, pop King ability when hitting Tesla farms.
Tip: swap in a Freeze or Quake for the back end if the base demands it. But honestly, we rarely need Freeze with RR.
3. Double Overgrowth — The “Ring Base” Bully
This one’s less common in esports, but perfect for those ring or box bases that mess with normal pathing.

How we do it:
-
RC angles in, clearing a chunk without triggering too many traps.
-
Drop Roots so they wrap around the TH under Overgrowth (zero shots fired at your troops).
-
Warden ability + Healing Tome + Rage when close to TH.
-
Use RC ability early if she’s in a high damage area — keeps her alive longer.
We save King and Queen abilities for the back end. This combo works even in hard mode because the damage is so spread, your “tome” uptime feels infinite.
4. RC Charge Root Riders — Tournament Tech
Saw this at Worlds and had to try it. Spoiler: it slaps even the Best Bases at Clash Worlds.

How we do it:
-
RC charge with 9 Invis spells + Haste vial.
-
Pop RC ability through damage zones (Poison Towers, Scattershot areas, etc.).
-
Recall RC after the value grab.
-
Roots dive into TH with Warden + Healing Tome + Rage.
-
Overgrowth the right side to keep the blob together — not always the scatter, sometimes the far edge makes more sense.
This is flexible, deadly, and makes invis-bait bases look silly. Just don’t be like us and forget your Giant Arrow activating invis traps early can save you from weird pathing later.
Honestly though, we can’t even pick a “best” one. Log Launcher feels the most consistent, but Double Overgrowth is chef’s kiss on the right base.
Master RR Armies in Just 1 Hour & Never Fail Again!
Sure, these armies hit like a freight train, but here's the twist:
What if the base is built specifically to defend RRs?
What if the base is spread out that Overgrowths or Fireballs don't get value?
What if the base does not give RC walk value at all?
These stuff that makes even pros sweat.
That’s where the game changes. Beating anti-RR bases isn’t about memorizing a build — it’s about knowing exactly how the base will react before you even drop your first troop. The tweaks, the spell swaps, the timing changes that turn a near fail into a clean triple.
That’s exactly what we break down in our Root Rider Master Classes and Pro Sessions. You get real, battle-tested thinking from players who live and breathe this army — not just the “what,” but the “why” and “when” that win wars.
If you already know the basics, this takes you from “I can use RR” to “I can beat anything with RR.” From there, it’s just you, the plan, and another perfect score on the board.
