Sneak Peek 2: Ranked Mode Updates & Key Fixes in Clash of Clans
If you missed Sneak Peek 1, that one introduced Town Hall 18 upgrades, the Greedy Raven pet, and big Earthquake Spell Tower changes.
This second sneak peek is different. It’s less flashy, but it fixes things that affect how the game actually plays every day.
Let’s break it down.
Several improvements have been made in this Update to Ranked battles to make them fairer, clearer, and harder to abuse.
Ranked Mode Changes
Anti-Spam Protection Added
Ranked battles now follow the same rules as regular attacks.

You must finish a battle before starting a new one

No more spamming attacks to manipulate results
This closes a long-standing loophole and makes Ranked progression more skill-based.
Fixed Demotion Warnings
Some players were seeing incorrect demotion warnings even when they were safe.

Rank status should display correctly going forward
League Battle Count Adjustments
The required number of battles has been adjusted in some leagues.

Totem Spell Changes

Radius reduced from 6 tiles to 5

These changes clearly rein in Totem value after recent dominance.
UI & Quality-of-Life Improvements

Special effects on decorations and shoveled obstacles can now be toggled

Locked troops, heroes, spells, sieges, pets, and guardians are now clickable

Super Sauna now shows required troop level for each Super Troop
Bug Fix: Ore Exploit Resolved

Any excess ore gained through the exploit has been revoked

Players who abused it may now see negative ore values
This fix is permanent.
