Our TH15 base places two poison towers smack dab in the middle. This positioning is a nightmare for troops like Electro Dragons (E-Dragons) and Super Witches, as it slows them down, giving your defenses enough time to chip away at their health. These towers buy precious seconds, and in Clash of Clans, time is everything when you’re fending off an attack.

2. Wide Separation Between Eagle Artillery and Town Hall

One of the biggest hurdles for attackers is deciding between taking down the Eagle Artillery or the Town Hall. These two vital structures are spread far apart, forcing attackers to make a tough choice: go for the Eagle and risk leaving the Town Hall for last, or focus on the Town Hall and leave the Eagle up for the remainder of the attack. Either way, the defender gains a serious advantage.

3. Anti-Flame Flinger Setup

Flame Flingers are deadly, especially at TH15. However, this base neutralizes their potential by positioning cannons and mortars near the Town Hall and Eagle Artillery. Both areas are guarded with ground X-Bows, making it near impossible for attackers to get significant value from a Flame Flinger. We’ve left just enough room for the Flame Flinger to target the Archer Queen and Royal Champion, but anything more than that will be difficult.

Attackers often rely on a Queen Charge to dive straight into the Town Hall. While the Town Hall may look like an easy target for the Queen, we’ve set up a nasty surprise. The Monolith is perfectly positioned to take down the Queen before she can deal any significant damage beyond the Town Hall. The base design makes it difficult to push past the Town Hall into the core, especially with the Dead Zone at the bottom side of the base acting as a further barrier.

2. Dead Zone – A Subtle But Powerful Barrier

The Dead Zone is one of the most underrated elements of base design. This small area of no defenses near the walls tricks troops into moving in ways that attackers don’t want. Root Rider spam armies struggle to break through due to the extended defenses and Tesla placements, making it difficult for attackers to path their troops to the multi-Infernos. Even if they try entering from the typical 10:00 and 2:00 positions, they’re going to have a tough time getting through the core unscathed.

3. E-Dragon Clone Attacks

E-Dragons have been a strong attack choice for many Town Hall levels, but this base design proves to be a hard counter. In one replay, we see the E-Dragons eventually reaching the core, but by the time they do, they’ve already taken massive damage. The placement of defenses forces the Dragons to scatter, weakening their overall impact. And with the Clan Castle left standing, Ice Golems can come out and further slow down any progress. The attacker ends up struggling to get more than a one-star result.

4. Root Rider Spam – A Tough Defense to Crack

Root Riders can be devastating, but this base is designed to throw off their timing. Attackers trying to bring Root Riders from the top side, combined with their heroes, find that the defensive Clan Castle and ground traps stall their progress. The spread-out design of defenses also means that even if the Riders make it into the core, they’re already weakened and easy to wipe out. It’s a well-coordinated defense that buys enough time for the base to completely stall the attack.
