Climbing to the Top 50 with a Powerful Defense
Reaching the top ranks in the Legend League requires not just offensive prowess but a solid defense as well. With this base, we've defended against some of the best players out there, even holding the 36th spot globally at one point. What makes this base stand out is its ability to defend consistently, punishing opponents with clever traps and layouts that they often aren’t prepared for.
While others are suffering massive losses of -320 trophies in a day, we've seen much more favorable results, even achieving a legendary +77 on some days. This base does a great job of forcing attackers into making mistakes and often results in them failing to get more than a one-star.
What Makes This Base Work?
One key element of this base is that it takes advantage of the latest balance changes. Compact base designs have become a staple for defenses, as they punish subpar attacks and poor decision-making. Even good attackers struggle with this setup. While it’s not the newest base in the game, many players seem unfamiliar with it, giving us a strong edge in defense.
The Double Poison Towers are especially effective, slowing down troops and causing havoc within critical areas of the base. Coupled with the compact layout, this setup becomes a nightmare for opponents, especially those who aren't expecting it. And while rage towers are also popular right now, this particular base shines with poison towers, keeping the enemy's momentum in check.
Strong Against Top Attacks
We've noticed that this base works exceptionally well against some of the most common attack strategies, including Fireball and Warden Charges. Fireball users are frequently tricked by the placement of Tesla Farms, which are spread out across the base. This placement ensures that attackers don’t trigger them all at once, throwing off their rhythm and leading to early mistakes in the attack.
Even players running powerful combinations like Frozen Arrows or Magic Mirrors have struggled to take down this base. What Troops Should You Expect?
On offense, we’re seeing a lot of Rocket Spears and Hog Puppets, which are solid choices in the current meta. However, the way this base is designed makes it hard for these troops to fully capitalize on their strengths. The poison towers slow down their progress significantly, and the Town Hall’s defenses are particularly tricky to crack. We've even seen attackers who usually dominate falter when facing this base, including some who hadn’t failed an attack in over 140 tries!
