New Town Hall 17 Defense: Crafting Station
So yeah, the Clash of Clans update just dropped and obviously everyone’s losing it over the new defense—the Crafting Station. It’s not your regular point-and-shoot defense. This one’s... different. You can actually pick how it works. Like, choose between a Hook Tower, a Flame Spinner, or a Mortar Crusher. Almost feels like Clash is turning into some weird build-your-own-defense sandbox.
Now, I know we already wrote about this in another blog so I won't go on a whole monologue again. ▶️7 New TH17 Base Links with Crafting Station After June Update [CWL/War/ESL/Legends]
Okay, so the Crafting Station’s here and naturally, your old TH17 bases? Probably not it anymore. These 7 bases are all built around the new defense and they're... actually solid. There’s a bit of everything—some for wars, some for pushing, even one that’s kinda sketchy but might grow on you. We’ll see.

Base 1 Link – War
Builder: Mars
CC: 2 Ice Golems, 1 Furnace, 7 Archers
This one’s made to stop 2-stars dead. The core’s nasty—damage everywhere. Only thing, don’t put the Hook Tower too close to the Poison Tower. They don’t play nice. Weird interaction. Other than that? Good luck getting through the middle. -
Base 2 Link – War (anti-3 but kinda anti-2?)
Builder: Pikachu

He called it anti-3. I looked at it and went hmm… the Town Hall's literally dead center. Anyway. It uses the Flame Spinner, which is kind of a gamble because it just spins and hopes for the best. But the rest of the base is chunky, annoying, and painful to attack. -
Base 3 Link – Legends
Builder: Pikachu again

A bit of an experimental layout with the Mortar Crusher smack in the middle. I don’t love that choice, ‘cause it doesn’t cover much. But hey, if troops wander into its range, it slaps. Might work, might flop. Depends on how dumb your attacker is, I guess. -
Base 4 Link – War
Builder: Trotino

This is straight-up a death trap. The Hook Tower drags your troops right into a blender—Monolith, two Fire Spitters, and a merged Cannon. Also double Poison Towers. It’s like it hates you personally. -
Base 5 Link – ESL / CWL / War

CC: same deal
He says it’s for ESL, but not all of us are out here doing pro matches. You can totally use it for CWL or just regular wars. Another Hook Tower base. He’s clearly a fan. I still don’t know if stacking Poison Towers is smart, but it's bold. Respect. -
Base 6 Link – Legends

CC: 2 Ice Golems, 1 Furnace, 1 Headhunter, 1 Archer
Flame Spinner returns, and this time it’s packed inside a wall of chunky buildings so it might actually do stuff. Fire Spitters point at the Town Hall but don’t cover much else, which bugs me. Still, those Rage Towers? Yikes. They make it spicy. -
Base 7 Link – Legends
Builder: Sawan
CC: 1 Ice Golem, 1 Furnace, 2 Rocket Loons, 1 Headhunter
This one uses the Mortar Crusher in a smart way finally. It’s placed so the bounce shots actually hit stuff instead of just... existing. The setup feels tight. Might be my favorite of the bunch, but don't quote me if it gets tripled tomorrow.
