Crafted Defenses are here — customize damage, HP, effects & more! TH17 players can now choose how their base fights back. Here’s how it all works.

Alright, Builders— it’s our turn now.

Clash just dropped Crafted Defenses, and it’s honestly kind of wild. For the first time ever, you get to customize your own defense buildings. Like, fully choose how they upgrade. Modular-style. No more Builder making all the decisions like he owns the base.

▶️ What Are Crafted Defenses?

Think of them like seasonal, upgradeable Lego sets... if those Lego sets could flame-spin your enemies.

  • Available at Town Hall 17

  • You get up to 3 Crafted Defenses to build during a season (3-month phases)

  • Only 1 can be active at a time — but you can swap them out anytime

  • Each defense comes with 3 upgradeable Modules (you choose the path)

  • Total of 27 upgrades per building (3 modules × 9 levels each)

You’re not just upgrading stats — you’re shaping how it fights. Want more damage? Cool. Prefer tanky HP or a special attack speed buff? Your call, Chief.

🛡️ The First 3 Crafted Defenses

1. Hook Tower

Drags enemies in and stuns them. Sadly, Siege Machines said, “nah.”
💬 “Get over here!” – Probably the tower, definitely Scorpion

2. Flame Spinner

It’s a literal spin-to-win. Whirlwind of flames that roasts anything nearby.
🔥 Imagine a Beyblade, but it's angry and on fire.

3. Crusher Mortar

Lobs big ol’ mortars that come down like the hammer of the gods.
💥 Gravity said "what’s up?"

These rotate out after the season, so yeah — try stuff, break stuff, and maybe cry a little when your favorite gets replaced in 3 months.

⚙️ Module System: You’re the Boss Now

Each defense has 3 modules:

  • HP module

  • Attribute 1 (usually DPS)

  • Attribute 2 (think: range, attack speed, or weird flex stuff)

You can upgrade each module separately. Only 1 builder per building though — so up to 3 builders working simultaneously if you're going full nerd with it.

Visual upgrades also reflect how upgraded the defense is, so attackers can tell what level of pain they’re about to walk into.

🧼 Bug Fixes (AKA Healers Finally Got It Together)

  • Healers won’t randomly change targets mid-battle anymore. 🙏

  • Fixed like 10 other things that crashed, broke, or just visually looked... wrong.

  • Also, Goblin Builder got over his wall-upgrade confusion. Progress.

🛒 Shop & SuperCell ID Stuff

  • Shop now pings you when there’s a Special Offer

  • Amazon players: future updates won’t hit the Appstore. Move to Supercell ID or risk losing progress

  • Guest SCID accounts are now a thing — no login needed, but limited perks

  • Regional pricing is expanding to more countries (India, Turkey, Brazil, etc.)

⚠️ You and your Clash buddies might see different prices. It’s not a bug, it’s the test.

🧠 Final Thoughts

This Crafted Defense system? Actually fresh. It’s not just new content — it’s new control. And that matters. Especially at higher levels where you’ve already got everything else maxed.
