Sneak Peek #1 - Goblin Mines, Goblin Thrower & Spear Trap

Hello, Chief!

Here's your first look at what's coming in the October 2023 Clash of Clans update! This update will introduce one of the most significant Clan Capital upgrades since we first introduced the feature. Get ready for a fresh Capital District, a new defense system, a deadly new trap, and numerous quality-of-life enhancements for both your Capital and Home Village. New Capital District: Goblin Mines

The rugged mountains and winding rivers of this new Clan Capital District naturally fortify it. Goblins have settled here to exploit its natural resources, and Capital Base Builders will discover an abundant valley ripe for creating innovative base designs that make the most of the terrain. The towering mountains and rivers serve as a natural barrier, deterring ground troops from attempting to raid the Goblin Mines.

• Unlocks at Capital Hall level 9.
• Look out for three new buildings in Sneak Peek #2.
• 1 new Defense: Goblin Thrower
• 1 new Trap: Spear Trap
• Multiple neutral buildings, decos, and obstacles

New Capital Defense: Goblin Thrower

Goblin engineering, while unconventional, is undeniably effective. The Goblin Thrower may seem impractical and might even raise concerns about workplace safety regulations, but this new Capital Defense is more than capable of handling troublesome ground and air units.

The Goblin Thrower comes pre-loaded with five barrels that cause splash damage when they hit ground Troops. But here's the twist: each barrel contains three Spear Goblins who burst out upon impact and continue defending your Capital District. These bundled Spear Goblins will attack both air and ground units. If any Spear Goblins are left after an attack, they'll stick around to protect your District in the next battle.

One important thing to keep in mind is that the Goblin Thrower's limit of five barrels remains the same throughout all attacks during a specific Capital Raid. It won't recharge until the beginning of the next Capital Raid. However, if the Goblin Thrower is destroyed before it releases all five barrels, any remaining barrels will immediately unleash their Spear Goblins, who will fight until they are defeated.

New Capital Trap: Spear Trap

What do you do when those Sneaky Archers are up to their tricks? Well, you bring in an even sneakier Trap! Enter the Spear Trap: it activates when enemy units venture within 10 tiles of its triggering area and unleashes a flurry of spears at any enemy units within its range. This clever trap targets both ground and air Troops, making it a formidable defense against a variety of threats.

• Trigger radius: 10 Tiles
• Damage type: Single target per spear
• Favorite type: Any
• Targets: Ground & Air
• Minimum housing space required to trigger: 8

Goblin Builder Event

There's a new supervisor in town, ready to lend a hand with your building upgrades and research tasks. During the Goblin Builder event, you'll have a couple of extra pairs of hands available to assist you in upgrading buildings or conducting research in your Laboratory. But be sure to take advantage of his services promptly, as this enthusiastic Goblin won't be around for long!

Goblin Builder: A New Goblin in Clash of Clans

You can locate his makeshift workshop near the Trader's tent. Tapping on him will provide a brief tutorial on how the Goblin Builder can assist you. Additionally, there's a Goblin head icon at the top of your screen that indicates whether he's currently occupied or available.

How to Use Goblin Builder in CoC?

When all your Builders are occupied with ongoing tasks, the Goblin Builder steps in as an extra Builder, allowing you to construct and upgrade various structures around your Home Village, such as defenses, walls, and more.

How to Get Goblin Builder in CoC?

Starting from Town Hall level 7, if you already have all 5 Builders (excluding O.T.T.O), the Goblin Builder will be at your service for additional upgrade tasks. During the Goblin Builder event, you'll notice a new event banner indicating how much longer this helpful Goblin will be staying in town.

Goblin Builder serves as an additional Builder that you can hire for a small Gem fee.

• Upgrading with the Goblin Builder still requires the necessary resources.
• The Gem cost for employing the Goblin Builder varies based on the duration of the upgrade. Longer upgrades will have higher Gem costs.
• Subscribers to the Season Pass can enjoy reduced Gem expenses.
• If you decide to cancel an upgrade that the Goblin Builder is currently working on, you'll receive a 50% refund of the Resources, but the Gems spent won't be refunded.
• If any upgrades are still in progress when the Goblin Builder event concludes, they will continue until they're finished.
• The Goblin Builder is capable of working on only one upgrade at a time.
• The speed of the Goblin Builder's upgrades can be influenced by Builder Potions.
• In situations where all your Builders, including the Goblin Builder, are engaged, initiating a new upgrade will present you with the most cost-effective Gem option to complete the upgrade.
  
  

Goblin Researcher

Similar to the Goblin Builder, the Goblin Researcher is inclined toward academic pursuits. If you already have a research project underway in your Laboratory, the Goblin Researcher can conduct an additional research task. This includes upgrading Troops, Spells, or Siege Machines in your Home Village.

Much like the Goblin Builder, you can enlist the Goblin Researcher's assistance for an extra research upgrade, and this service comes at a cost of a few Gems. 

Additionally, the duration of research tasks in both the Laboratory and those handled by the Goblin Researcher can be influenced by Research Potions.

Clan Capital Base Links Available: The most awaited feature is here!

Players who have been into the Clan Capital found themselves without the ease of base link feature, leaving them to manually build layouts. It was a time consuming and frustrated process.

But the anticipation has been building, and the Clan Capital community's wishes are about to be answered. In the upcoming update, the Clan Capital Base Link feature is finally making its debut.

With the Clan Capital Base Link, players will now have the power to swiftly duplicate their Clan Capital layouts. It's a feature that will save valuable time, allowing players to focus on perfecting their strategies.

Additional Game Changes/Quality of Life Improvements

• The Troop information screens have undergone significant enhancements. These improvements aim to make the information more accessible and easier to read. Plus, you'll now enjoy captivating preview animations showcasing each unit and their abilities. Take a look and share your thoughts with us – we'd love to hear what you think!
• When your Village is 'rushed,' and you try to upgrade your Town Hall, you'll receive a notification suggesting that you enhance your offensive capabilities first. It's important to note that this notification won't prevent you from upgrading your Town Hall. Instead, it serves as a helpful reminder that after upgrading your Town Hall, attacking may become more challenging if your offensive abilities haven't been adequately improved yet.
• Events now feature a dedicated UI button, making them more visible and easier to access.
• Clan Capital changes
• The upgrade requirements for Capital Halls 8-10 have been raised due to the introduction of low-cost neutral buildings in Skeleton Park and Goblin Mines.
• The storage capacity for Capital Gold has been increased to 35,000.
• The Capital Jump Spell now requires only 1 Housing Space.
• Clan Elders now have the ability to initiate Capital Raids.
• Capital base links.
• You can now view replays of Capital Raids from the Raid Weekend Leaderboard.
• Research UI improved
• The Research UI has been enhanced. Now, the Research tooltip will display suggested research options along with their associated upgrade costs.
• If you have research already in progress in your Laboratory and you decide to start another upgrade, you'll receive a Gem cost prompt to complete the ongoing research. This works similarly to when all of your Builders are occupied.
• A bug related to the deployment speed of troops from the Clan Castle when it had 8-9 Troops has been resolved and fixed.
